Speakers announced for DFWHC/Hall Render Aug. 31 event

David French and Amy Garrigues, attorneys with Hall Render whose area of expertise is health law and risk management, were announced today as the speakers of the August 31 educational event “False Claims Act Litigation and Internal Investigation Matters” from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

The complimentary session is the third of four events DFWHC is hosting in coordination with Hall Render as part of this summer’s “Hot Topic Healthcare Educational Series.”

Mr. French has practiced in commercial litigation, health law litigation and risk management, as well as medical staff relations. He has been a litigator and trial lawyer for over 25 years and prevailed in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court. Throughout his career, Mr. French has had success in handling qui tam and federal false claims litigation, medical staff hearings, reimbursement disputes and federal and state investigations.

Ms. Garrigues is a shareholder and managing partner of Hall Render’s Raleigh, NC office and concentrates her practice exclusively on health law. She primarily represents academic medical centers, hospitals and health systems across the country. Ms. Garrigues regularly advises clients on regulatory and compliance matters; federal False Claims Act lawsuits; internal investigations; fraud laws, including Stark and Anti-Kickback; health care transactions; Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues; and administrative appeals.
