Robert Hicks, an attorney with Hall Render whose area of expertise is health law involving post-acute and long-term care providers, was announced today as the speaker of the September 20 educational event “Timeshare Arrangements for Visiting Physicians” from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving (please note the new location).
The complimentary session is the last of four events DFWHC is hosting in coordination with Hall Render as part of this summer’s “Hot Topic Healthcare Educational Series.”
Mr. Hicks chairs the Hall Render’s real property practice group and has extensive experience in real property matters with an emphasis on real estate development transactions and transactions involving post-acute and long-term care providers. Related areas of his practice include ground lease transactions, acquisitions, sales, leases, tax-deferred exchanges, zoning, entity formation, property tax exemptions, eminent domain and environmental law.
He was chosen as The National Law Journal‘s Top Rated Lawyer in Health Care in 2013.
The program will detail timeshare leases and licenses that hospitals use to attract both primary care physicians and specialists. Since the complexities surrounding these seemingly simple concepts can lead to compliance problems, the program will focus on the proper and compliant use of timeshare leases and the relatively new timeshare license arrangements that became permissible on January 1, 2016.
You can register for the complimentary event here.
