The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC), the DFWHC Foundation and GroupOne Background Screening teamed together this week for a donation drive to assist the victims of Hurricane Harvey in southeast and central Texas. In all, more than 1,820 items were collected and will be donated to Trusted World this afternoon.
Trusted World’s mission is to be committed to providing the best resources, for free, to people or organizations who are providing services on someone else’s behalf. The organization has set-up a temporary collection site to help provide relief for hurricane victims. DFWHC, the DFWHC Foundation and GroupOne will drop off its donations at 15660 Dallas Parkway in Dallas. Click here for additional information.
Donations included;
• 1,090 baby wipes;
• 300 diapers;
• 81 jars of baby food;
• 70 pairs of socks;
• 76 feminine hygiene products;
• 60 bars of soap;
• 33 cans of food
• 30 razors;
• 20 tubes of toothpaste;
• 17 toothbrushes;
• 14 pairs of underwear;
• 15 deodorants;
• 10 bottles of shampoo;
• and 7 blankets.
“It’s never enough after such a terrible tragedy, but we are so proud of all of our staff members for helping our neighboring residents in need,” said W. Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC. “Our staff displayed overwhelming dedication in making so many contributions. I am proud of their hard work and sacrifice in organizing this donation.”
