Welcome back? We certainly hope so! The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) will be hosting its 74th Annual Awards Luncheon on October 21 in the main ballroom at the Irving Convention Center, our first in-person event since 2019.
You can find tables and tickets here.
This year’s recipients include:
Jessica Long, one of America’s most decorated Paralympic champions, will serve as keynote speaker. The daughter of unwed teenagers, Jessica was born in Siberia and placed for adoption at 13 months old. Jessica’s legs were amputated below the knee due to a rare bone disorder. She was adopted by American parents to eventually become one of the most decorated athletes in U.S. history. Jessica’s life served as the inspiration of the famous 2021 Super Bowl commercial highlighting her deep connections to her family. The commercial can be viewed here.
John Liddle, who serves as a news anchor at NewsRadio KRLD 1080 AM, will perform this year’s National Anthem to open the event. Liddle has previously performed the National Anthem for the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Stars, the Dallas Wings and the Panther City Lacrosse Club.
We hope to see you at an event attracting more than 800 attendees united in the belief that better health makes a better community!
