The DFW Hospital Council’s weekly radio program “The Human Side of Health Care” debuted on Sunday, January 5 on KRLD 1080 AM with a focus on community health. Guest stars for the first edition were Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC; Dr. Don Wesson, president of the Baylor Scott & White Health Wellness Center; Stacie Goran, manager of Children’s Health Teen Recovery Program; and Texas Senator Nathan Johnson.
The radio program will run on Sunday’s throughout 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. CST. The idea was the brainchild of Love, who was looking for a forum to detail the many positive programs conducted by the hospitals of North Texas.
“We want to showcase the excellent work being done in our hospitals and communities,” Love said. “We are working with North Texas hospital executives to determine guests and topics for each program. We are always open to new projects taking place at our hospitals.”
To date, more than 30 healthcare experts and guest have been interviewed, with Thomas Miller, a broadcast journalist at KRLD, developing the programs.
Links will be distributed to DFWHC membership following the broadcasts so they can conveniently listen to the program on their computers or mobile phones.
