We were passed along a great photo of DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) President/CEO Stephen Love participating in the annual India Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Conference on August 27 at the UT Dallas campus in Richardson. Love moderated a keynote discussion with the president of Texas Health Resources Winjie Tang Miao.

Miao will be taking the reins of Texas Health when long-time CEO Barclay Berdan steps down at the end of the month. She previously served as COO, leading enterprise-wide operations, and as chief experience officer, driving the system’s Connected Health strategy. Miao joined Texas Health in 2000, rising through leadership roles including inaugural president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance. She was named DFWHC’s Young Healthcare Executive of the Year in 2008.

Additional presentations included a healthcare innovation panel with Dr. Daniel Hommes, VP and Chief Innovation Officer at UT Southwestern Medical Center; Steve Miff, PhD, President/CEO of Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation; Dr. Brett Moran, Chief Health Officer at Parkland Health; and Jon Souder, Partner at PwC who served as moderator.

Raj Daniels, President of the US India Chamber DFW, provided the opening remarks.
