The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) announced today it has joined forces with the Conference of Metropolitan Hospital Associations (CMA) to highlight national healthcare businesses that provide services to hospitals. The program will include monthly webinars in 2026.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to bringing innovative, high-value solutions to our members, we decided to participate in this Strategic Business Partner Program,” said Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC. “We are pleased to invite our hospital members to 12 exclusive educational webinars this year.”
The first webinar featuring Warrior Centric Health is set for Thursday, February 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Titled “Elephant in the Waiting Room: The BIG, COSTLY Quality & Safety Issue You’re Overlooking,” the event will detail issues when treating America’s military veterans, National Guard, Reservists and their families.
While many assume these veterans receive their healthcare through the VA, most do not. They are in commercial health facilities, which are generally unprepared to treat their “invisible wounds.” These veterans comprise one of the nation’s most at-risk populations. Because of their exposures and experiences, this Warrior Community emerges from service with gaping physical and mental health disparities that can manifest long after they enter civilian life.
The result is gaping health disparities, sub-optimal care, high readmission rates and sometimes tragic consequences. During this one-hour webinar, speakers Evelyn Lewis, MD, MA, FAAFP, DABDA, co-founder and chief medical officer at Warrior Centric Health; and Ron Steptoe, CMR, DABDA co-founder and CEO, at Warrior Centric Health, will discuss how commercial healthcare systems can meet this consequential healthcare challenge by re-imagining it as an opportunity.
This session is designed specifically for hospital and health system leaders including Population Health and Strategy Executives (CPHO and CSO), Chief Quality Officers (CQO), VPs of Regulatory Affairs/Accreditation, CFOs, Directors of Community Benefits, and Chief Medical and Chief Nursing Officers (CMO and CNO).
