It is just one week until the March 31 deadline to turn in nominees to the DFW Hospital Council Foundation’s 20th Annual Employee of the Year Luncheon. The event takes place Wednesday, April 27 at the Irving Convention Center. A reception begins at 11:00 a.m. followed by the luncheon/awards from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Do Great Things,” with world famous business visionary Derreck Kayongo serving as keynote speaker. Mr. Kayongo is the founder of the Global Soap Project. The program takes purified and reprocessed hotel soap and redistributes it to vulnerable populations around the world. Today, the Global Soap Project is active in more than 5,500 hotels in 32 countries and has given away more than two million bars to refugees. Kayongo fled civil war in Uganda and settled in the U.S. when he was just ten years old. Today he serves as the CEO of the Center for Civil and Human Rights. You can see a CNN video on his humanitarian efforts here.

There is also time to purchase sponsorships and ads in the program brochure supporting nominees. Deadline for sponsorships is Friday, April 8. We hope you can participate in an event that salutes one of our most valuable resources – great North Texas hospital employees. Please do not hesitate to contact us at dtidwell@dfwhcfoundation.org or chrisw@dfwhc.org should you have questions. Links for nominees, sponsorships and registration are below.
