In celebration of the DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation’s 20th Annual Employee of the Year Luncheon on April 27 at the Irving Convention Center, we are counting down with detail on previous events.

The DFWHC Foundation’s 3rd Annual Luncheon was held Nov. 4, 1999 at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Alan Bean, the famous NASA astronaut who was the fourth person to walk on the Moon, served as keynote speaker.
The 4th Annual Employee of the Year Luncheon took place September 14, 2000 at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas. The famous WFAA-TV Ch. 8 and KTVT Ch. 11 news anchor Tracy Rowlett was keynote speaker. Award recipients were Stephanie Davis, social worker at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, Robert Flores, lead transporter at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas and Charlotte North, patient supply supervisor at Zale Lipshy University Hospital.
Special Recognition recipients included Jerry Haskins of Medical Center of Lewisville, Joyce Putnam of Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth, Cynthia Robinson of Baylor University Medical Center, Joella Sample of Arlington Memorial Hospital and Jackie Howard-Rodgers of VA North Texas Health Care System.
On April 27, the Employee of the Year Luncheon will honor more than 140 nominees and present 14 separate awards. The luncheon has evolved into a celebration of one of the most valuable resources in North Texas – great hospital employees.
