DFWHC’s complimentary educational event “Fraud Prevention and Protection” was held this morning at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Sponsored by Global Edge, Kevin Shrake of MDR served as the main speaker.

His topics included Spend Recovery, Fraud Prevention, Risk Assessments, Vendor Master File, Sanction Lists and Fraudulent Acts.

Shrake has been working in healthcare for 35 years, serving as the president/CEO of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Illinois and the COO of Saint Francis Hospital in Missouri. Today, he is the vice president/COO of MDR, a company that utilizes a network of executives across the country to source clients in healthcare. His company solves business problems utilizing “best practice” resources such as revenue cycle management, supply chain management, equipment maintenance, labor management and electronic health records.
