Employment contracts can vary greatly from one to the next. That’s why you need to make sure you know what you’re agreeing to before you sign on the dotted line. Is the term of the contract reasonable? How about the non-compete covenant? Are your duties and obligations spelled out in the agreement and, if so, do they seem fair? How much of a say are you likely to have in negotiating changes to a proposed contract? Mary Jean Geroulo, one of the region’s top healthcare and employment attorneys, will provide answers to these questions and more on the Oct. 10.
