Thanks to a first-ever Dallas visit of Dr. Abdusalam Nasidi, the former director of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control who worked the front lines during Africa’s recent Ebola outbreak, the DFW Hospital Council Foundation’s 10th Annual Patient Safety Summit received some news coverage last night on NBCDFW-TV.
The segment detailed not only the Summit, which continues through today at the Marriott Las Colinas in Irving, but the new scrubs created by event co-sponsor Vestagen. The uniforms, which are expected to revolutionize hospital wear, repel liquid and germs with a new “active barrier” technology.
“Hospitals practice good patient safety every single day,” said W. Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC. “The Patient Safety Summit reinforces that where they share best practices, look at situations and say, ‘How can we do even better.’”
The segment, hosted by Bianca Castro, can be seen here.
