Our own President/CEO W. Stephen Love was quoted in a Dallas Morning News story posted this morning by Jackie Wang detailing cuts to the Affordable Care Act.
Love discussed the millions in funding cuts to insurance navigators in Texas.
“Navigators” help residents find health insurance through outreach programs and one-on-one assistance. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reduced federal funding for Texas navigators in Texas by 86 percent with only $1.25 million available in the 2018-2019 enrollment period.
“We’re going to have to try to do more with less and put the funds where we think we’ll get the maximum potential for the enrollment,” Love said.
