In an examination of the future of Texas healthcare, the Healthcare Committee of Collin County (HCCC) hosted the educational forum “Healthcare in 2020” yesterday evening at the Collin College Spring Creek Conference Center in Plano. Steve Love, president/CEO of the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council, served as moderator on a panel including Corey Davison, senior director of government relations at Tenet Healthcare, Dr. Anna Tran, a Dallas pediatrician and State Rep. Van Taylor.

Steve Jacob, editor at D Healthcare Daily and an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas School of Public Health, served as the keynote speaker.

“This was a great opportunity to have an open dialogue on healthcare in Collin County,” said Love. “We wanted to discuss the facts and eliminate any misunderstandings on a number of issues including the Affordable Care Act. It was a nice turnout and very productive.”

HCCC is an inclusive, nonpartisan, collaborative, community-driven organization focused on developing and improving access to affordable, quality healthcare for residents in Collin County through education, support and advocacy. HCCC is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
