Officially lighting the holiday tree at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) last night, W. Stephen Love, president/CEO of the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC), served as an honorary guest to kick off the Christmas season. TSRHC President/CEO Robert Walker opened the ceremony before hundreds of volunteers and patients. Participating with Love in the tree lighting was Emily Hough, seven-year-old TSRHC patient and author of the children’s book “Emily’s Sock Monkey.” Proceeds from sales of the book go to TSRHC, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and CureJM. Following the lighting, volunteer teams decorated trees throughout the hospital. The event was covered by CBS 11 TV News.
