Less than two weeks until “Alzheimer’s Research” on March 8

02/23/2018

It’s less than two weeks until the DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and Alzheimer’s Association’s educational event “Alzheimer’s Research Update: Early Detection Resources and Tools” on Thursday, March 8 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in the main auditorium at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. We’re inviting members to learn about the latest analysis findings of Alzheimer’s disease during the complimentary seminar.

An expert list of speakers will include Dr. Mary Quiceno, associate professor of neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and an associate professor of medical education at Texas Christian University; Rebecca Logan, PA-C of UT Southwestern Medical Center; and Debra Adams, director of community relations at the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Dallas Chapter.

More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, the sixth-leading cause of death in the U.S. and the only disease among the top-10 causes that cannot be cured, prevented or slowed. Additionally, more than 15 million family and friends provide care to people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias in the U.S.
