Hope for the best, plan for the worst

Imagine this. You’ve finally done it. After devoting decades of your life to studying and training, you’re a practicing physician. You love what you do, you’re making a difference and you’re earning a good living. And then it happens. You’re suddenly unable to work due to a disabling illness or injury. This scenario is more plausible than you might think. According to the Social Security Administration, there’s a 1 in 4 chance that you’ll experience a long-term disability at some point in your career.

Hopefully, you’ll be one of the lucky 75 percent of workers who never has to deal with this situation. But what if you’re not? How would you make ends meet if you couldn’t work for an extended period of time? Where will the money come from to support yourself and your family? If you have disability insurance, that’s one thing you won’t have to worry about. But how do you know the right kind and amount to purchase? If your employer offers coverage, should you get it there or buy a policy on your own? We’ll answer these questions and more in a free webinar that InsMed Insurance Agency, Inc., will sponsor Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. You’ve worked very hard to get to this point in your career. Give us 30 minutes of your time, and we’ll educate you about what you need to do to safeguard your future earning potential.

Upcoming Webinars:
Oct. 10, 4 p.m. “What to look for in an Employment Contract and how to get it”
Nov. 11, 4 p.m. “Financial Planning 101 – it’s never too early to start”

Webinars are 30 minutes with opportunities for questions.
