Episode 19 of the DFW Hospital Council’s weekly radio program “The Human Side of Health Care” was broadcast Sunday on KRLD 1080 AM. The discussion included the recent phenomenon of a dramatic decrease in 9-1-1 calls due to fear of COVID-19. The drop in calls has caused an increase in heart attack and stroke fatalities across the nation.
Guests included:
• Dr. Veer Vithalani, EMS Director at JPS Health Network;
• and Dr. Amit Khera, cardiologist at UT Southwestern.
DFWHC President/CEO Stephen Love and KRLD’s Thomas Miller provided a COVID-19 update.
The radio program runs throughout 2020 on Sunday’s from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. CDT.
