Webinar – “Decrease Patient Falls”

The DFW Hospital Council Foundation will host an educational webinar on July 11 detailing innovative techniques to engage hospital patients in “fall prevention.” Titled “Redesigning Patient Education: Patient Engagement and Autonomy and how to use these techniques to decrease patient falls,” the event begins at 10:00 a.m. CST. Patricia Quigley, PhD, ARNP, CRRN, FAAN, FAANP, will serve as guest speaker.

Topics to include:
Differentiate the domains of adult learning (cognitive, psychomotor skills and affective) to prioritize patient education content emphasis;
Redesign patient education to fully engage patients as full partners in care.

This activity has been submitted to the Texas Nurses Association for approval to award 1 contact hour. Texas Nurses Association-Approver is accredited as an approved of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
