TWU Doswell Nursing Informatics Conference

Texas Woman’s University College of Nursing will be hosting the annual Doswell Nursing Informatics Conference on Friday, April 30 from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This year’s virtual event is complimentary and will be themed “Health Inequities: The Role of Interprofessional Health Informatics and Communities.”

It’s a terrific lineup to include:

Dr. Christopher Murray, Director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME); Professor and Chair of Health Metrics Sciences at the University of Washington;
• Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins and Dallas County Health Policy Director Ruby Blum;
Marisa Wilson, DNSc, MHSc, RN, CPHIMS, FAMIA, FAAN, Interim Department Chair, Family, Community and Health Systems, Associate Professor, Coordinator for MSN Nursing Informatics, Director of Graduate Leadership Pathways at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Nursing.

This year’s conference will provide focus for practitioners and educators to use data to define and address health inequalities with presentation topics covering three areas: clinical practice education, community-focused health care and evidence-based decision making.

Continuing Education Units for RNs and for HIMSS professionals will be offered (5.0 CEUs).
