The Substance Use Prevention Coalition (SUPC) of Collin County will host a “Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Training Conference” on Thursday, January 31 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Allen Independent School District Service Center in Allen, Texas.

Dr. Kurt Kleinschmidt, a professor of emergency medicine at UT Southwestern, will serve as keynote speaker.

The seminar, held in coordination with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will focus on wellness skills, prevention treatment, crisis management and treatment strategies. Six hours of CE credits will be offered.
