DFWHC and Alzheimer’s Association education event

The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and the Alzheimer’s Association is inviting members to learn about the latest analysis findings of Alzheimer’s disease during the educational event “Alzheimer’s Research Update: Early Detection Resources and Tools” on Thursday, March 8 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in the main auditorium at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.

An expert list of speakers will include Dr. Mary Quiceno, associate professor of neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and an associate professor of medical education at the Texas Christian University and University of North Texas schools of medicine; Rebecca Logan, PA-C of UT Southwestern Medical Center; and Debra Adams, director of community relations at the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Dallas Chapter.

Breakfast will be provided at this complimentary educational gathering ideal for hospital executives, nursing officers and nurse professionals.

More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, the sixth-leading cause of death in the U.S. and the only disease among the top-10 causes that cannot be cured, prevented or even slowed. Additionally, more than 15 million family and friends provide care to people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias in the U.S.

The Alzheimers’ Association is a long-standing associate member of DFWHC.
