The Alzheimer’s Association’s annual event “Advance Research and Care Symposium” is set for Saturday, January 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree Campbell Center in Dallas.

The educational seminar will detail information on the neuroscience of early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia – specifically with regard to breakthroughs in biomarkers, imaging, prevention and ethical considerations. The morning sessions and keynote luncheon are designed to meet the educational needs of neurologists, psychiatrists, internal medicine, family practitioners and other HCPs (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, clinical nurse specialists) involved in the care of patients with cognitive impairment.

Anton Porsteinsson, MD – Alzheimer’s Disease Related Behaviors and Intervention;
Emily Rogalski, PhD – Non-Pharmacological Interventions for A-Typical Forms of Alzheimer’s;
Tiffany Chow, MD – Compassion and Metta For Caregivers;
Joyce Edwards, LMSW – Activity, Home Support and Community Access for Those in Middle and Late Stage Alzheimer’s;
Claudia Padilla, MD – Living Well after Diagnosis, Panel Discussion.
