Active Shooter Training Workshop

Chris Wilson / June 21, 2018 @ 8:30 am / Events

Both Tarrant and Dallas counties will host an Active Shooter Consequence Management Training Workshop on Thursday, June 21 at the Richardson Civic Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The educational event is geared towards emergency managers, emergency responders, health and hospital personnel, municipal and county managers, public works personnel, human resource directors and other municipal, county and state officials.

The focus of this workshop will be planning for what happens in a public building after the shooting stops and the facility is turned back over. It will help leaders determine appropriate actions, roles and responsibilities for carrying out certain duties. In addition, it will assist in organizations in creating plans of action.

The workshop is organized in partnership with the North Central Texas Council of Governments, FEMA, TDEM, the City of Richardson and Oncor.

The event is complimentary but pre-registration is required.
