We were thrilled to learn DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) President/CEO Stephen Love was honored for his work during the COVID-19 pandemic this past Monday, February 20 at the Scottish Rite for Children Board Dinner at the hospital in Dallas.

Love served as a spokesperson for the hospitals of North Texas when the pandemic broke out in early 2020. Over a two-year period, he was interviewed more than 550 times by local and national media. While DFWHC staff members were working from home, Love stayed at the office oftentimes being interviewed as much as five times a day.

“My efforts were minimal compared to the work of our hospital leaders and our healthcare heroes,” said Love. “We are fortunate to have the level of cooperation between hospitals systems that we do in North Texas, and I’m just honored I could assist in some way in raising awareness for the community.”

The honor was presented by Bob Walker, Scottish Rite president/CEO; and Matt Chance, Scottish Rite chief operating officer.
