In an interview yesterday with KRLD News Radio 1080 AM, DFW Hospital Council President/CEO Stephen Love discussed the growing numbers of COVID-19 patients in North Texas.

“We’re up to 657 patients, a 70 percent increase in hospitalizations in the last two weeks,” said Love. “The majority are unvaccinated.”

There is further apprehension with students returning to school next month, according to Love.

“Physicians are really concerned about August with kids going back to school,” he said. “This Delta variant coming through Texas is very concerning. August is going to be a tough month.”
