DFW Hospital Council President/CEO Stephen Love sat down for an interview with State of Reform Reporter Michael Goldberg this week to discuss hospital capacity and COVID-19. Writers for the national website, which attempts to bridge the gap between health care and health policy, have been keeping an eye on the growing number of COVID-19 patients across the nation during the pandemic.

“We are consistently telling people, ‘wear a mask, wash your hands, practice physical distancing and practice good personal hygiene,’” Love said. “If people get reckless, spend time in large crowds, 14 days after that, between July 18-20 we could see significant increases of patients in our hospitals and by the end of July, potentially a surge situation.”
