In preparation for the big Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns football game at the State Fair in Dallas this Saturday, staff members of DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC), the DFWHC Foundation and GroupOne Background Screening held its annual “Football Friday” barbecue lunch at its offices.

Now, you may ask why is “Football Friday” on a Thursday? And, that’s a valid question. Our monthly Board Meeting is being held tomorrow and so, it’s “Football Friday” on a Thursday!

A DFWHC tradition dating back over 20 years, staff members decorate their cubicles, sometimes their cars and wear the football jersey of their favorite team. Today, you’ll see fans of the Dallas Cowboys, the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bulls. Wait, that’s a basketball team – but someone was wearing their jersey! As you can guess, here at DFWHC staff members have a right to support whatever team they choose.

So, on this day of enjoyable team camaraderie, the staff members of DFWHC, the DFWHC Foundation and GroupOne would like to wish everyone a happy “Football Friday on a Thursday!”
