It was a combination of business and education today during the DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Board Meeting at its headquarters in Irving/Las Colinas. The agenda included the presentation, “DFW Metroplex Pediatric Psychiatric Resources” provided by representatives from Children’s Health, Cook Children’s and Scottish Rite for Children.
“It was a great presentation today and our board members were so appreciative of their time,” said Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC. “The session was inspired by a board member whose hospital is located in a county without mental health services for children. We learned about the resources and services available when a hospital encounters young patients with mental health issues in North Texas.”
Presenters included Hyunjee Lee of Children’s Health; Alex Rodriguez of Cook Children’s; and Sindhu Ravula, of Scottish Rite for Children.
DFWHC is governed by a 15-member Board of Trustees comprised of hospital chief executive officers or chief operating officers. Vanessa Walls, chief market executive of the northern market at Children’s Health, serves as chair while Juan Fresquez, president of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, serves as chair-elect.
