The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) will be hosting its first webinar of 2018 on Jan. 25 titled “Digital Health Technology Trends.” The complimentary educational session is from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. and will be co-hosted with Accenture, a new DFWHC Associate Member. Dr. Kaveh Safavi, a senior managing director and head of global health practice at the company, will serve as speaker.

Dr. Safavi will discuss artificial intelligence in healthcare, ecosystem power plays, the workforce marketplace, new designs for humans and definitions for the future. At Accenture, he is responsible for developing growth strategies for healthcare providers. He has previously served in leadership roles at Thompson Reuters, United Healthcare, HealthSpring and Humana.

Dr. Safavi’s accomplishments include establishing one of the Midwest’s first electronic health record-enabled primary care practices. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Xcertia, which supports industry guidelines for safe and effective mobile health apps. He also serves on the advisory committee of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging.
