DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) President/CEO W. Stephen Love and team members of ELEVATE340B are presently hosting the “Hot Topic” webinar “340B: Landscape, Compliance and Optimization.” This educational event is being attended by 49 registrants associated with hospital-covered entities participating in the 340B drug-pricing program.

The webinar was introduced by Love, who is expected to participate in the Q&A. ELEVATE340B team members participating include Jeff Norman, senior manager, Cory Aubuchon, director and Jamie Pennington, marketing manager.

The 340B Drug Pricing Program provides discounted prices on covered outpatient drugs to eligible entities. The program’s intention is to “stretch scarce federal resources as far as possible, reaching more patients and providing more comprehensive services.”

Due to the program’s growth, there has been increasing scrutiny in the political sector. Such heightened awareness makes it imperative to focus heavily on compliance and optimization. Through the hundreds of audits conducted by ELEVATE340B, they continually find that entities face challenges controlling WAC, GPO and Orphan drug spending. In addition, savings opportunities are available.
