The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and marketing partner ELEVATE340B will host the “Hot Topic” webinar “340B: Landscape, Compliance and Optimization” on June 29 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. This educational event is intended for hospital-covered entities participating in the 340B drug-pricing program.

The webinar will be introduced by DFWHC President/CEO W. Stephen Love, who will also participate in the Q&A.

The 340B Drug Pricing Program provides discounted prices on covered outpatient drugs to eligible entities. The program’s intention is to “stretch scarce federal resources as far as possible, reaching more patients and providing more comprehensive services.”

Due to the program’s growth, there has been increasing scrutiny in the political sector. Such heightened awareness makes it imperative to focus heavily on compliance and optimization. Through the hundreds of audits conducted by ELEVATE340B, they continually find that entities face challenges controlling WAC, GPO and Orphan drug spending. In addition, savings opportunities are available.

ELEVATE340B will speak on the importance of running a compliant program and how optimization goes hand-in-hand with the process.
