The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and Texas Woman’s University (TWU) Dallas webinar “Don’t miss the moment: Workforce funding your Texas hospital can use now to solve critical staffing shortages” originally broadcast on January 15 has been posted online.
Speakers included Monica Christopher, President, TWU Dallas; Jason Aubrey, Founder and CEO of Skilltrade; and Stephen Love, President/CEO of DFWHC.
The complimentary webinar detailed how Texas hospitals are losing millions each year due to vacancies, agency staffing and delayed hiring. New workforce funding opportunities and rapid training models have created a timely advantage for hospitals ready to act. Hospitals are facing the same urgent challenges seen across Texas. Vacancy rates remain high, agency costs continue to increase, and hiring qualified talent takes longer than ever. New state and federal workforce funding, including Workforce Pell, Texas Workforce Board dollars, and the $5,250 employer education tax benefit, have offered a way to reduce labor costs and build faster, more reliable talent pipelines.
The webinar was intended for CEOs, CHROs, CNOs, COOs, Workforce and Talent leaders, Clinical Operations leaders, HR Directors, and anyone responsible for reducing vacancies, controlling labor costs, or developing internal workforce pipelines.
