DFWHC and SendaRide to host July 24 webinar on “Patient Transportation”

07/08/2019

The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) in coordination with SendaRide will host the webinar “Patient Transportation: How important is it in today’s industry?” on Wednesday, July 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (CST).

With today’s research indicating more than 80 percent of health outcomes are tied to the social determinants of health (SDoH), the evolution of the healthcare industry is moving towards value-based care. Healthcare organizations of all types – payers, providers, hospitals and even employers – will increasingly incorporate SDoH tools to improve healthcare quality, cost and patient satisfaction.

Some initiatives such as the provision of patient transportation can easily document a strong “Return on Investment” while meeting these goals.

Webinar attendees will learn:
• Why patient transportation is a smart investment;
• How patient transportation can improve a community’s health status;
• How to overcome transportation ‘‘deserts”;
• How to choose the right transportation partner in an increasingly regulated industry.

Laura Fleet, CEO and founder of SendaRide, and Greg Meyers, director of strategic growth at SendaRide, will serve as speakers with DFWHC President/CEO W. Stephen Love providing the introductions.
