The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and Hall Render will co-host the webinar “Medicaid Provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill” on Thursday, May 7 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., CDT.
Speakers will include Brian Neale, the former Deputy Administrator and Director of the Center for Medicaid and CHIP and former healthcare policy advisor to Mike Pence; Timothy Kennedy, Indianapolis Attorney for Hall Render; and Stephen Love, President/CEO of DFWHC.
Join us for this presentation with two national experts examining some of the more significant Medicaid provisions in the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
Texas-related topics will include:
- • Texas’ share of the Rural Health Fund in OBBBA and the disparate impact of expired enhanced APTC on non-expansion states like Texas;
• A fly-by of Texas’ non-expansion status and its UC pool (expiring in 2030, with the provider tax ceiling frozen at current 6% levels, but no phase-down as in expansion states);
• Potential provisions of a “Reconciliation 2.0” bill later this year, particularly related to financing, that could negatively impact Texas.
This webinar will provide practical insights and recommendations regarding the operation and effect of these new provisions. In addition, the speakers will discuss upcoming CMS rules regarding state-directed payment programs and prohibited indirect hold harmless arrangements for provider taxes.
