Dallas’ first in-home COVID-19 vaccine program for the city’s residents has been rescheduled to start next week following the delay due to federal fears of the new Johnson & Johnson shots.
The project will be administered by members of Dallas Fire-Rescue and the Visiting Nurse Association of Dallas, utilizing the Moderna vaccines. Residents enrolled in the Meals on Wheels will be provided the vaccine starting Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. The Moderna vaccine requires two shots about four weeks apart.
Three hundred Moderna vaccines are available to the city, with 60 people a day set to receive the shots.
