08/20/2019

State of Reform has released the official agenda of its North Texas Conference on September 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Irving Convention Center.

After the past two years in Austin, the conference was moved to North Texas due to high demand in the area. DJ Wilson, president/CEO of State of Reform, will serve as host.

The agenda reveals more than 20 educational sessions and 70 speakers are scheduled. DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) hospital and associate members will also receive a 20 percent discount by using the code “DFWHC20.”

DFWHC is a sponsor of the event, with a convening panel including W. Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC and Kristin Tesmer, president of the DFWHC Foundation.

Speakers will include Dr. Fred Cerise of Parkland Health & Hospital System; Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins; Senator Kelly Hancock; Senator Nathan Johnson; Senator Royce West; and Dr. Phillip Huang of Dallas County Health and Human Services.

This event convenes leaders from across 12 different silos: health plans, hospitals, provider groups, state agency leaders, elected officials, mental health, pharma, health IT, professional services, HR/employee benefits, public health, and local government. The idea is to bring together perspectives and opinions from across the broadest scope of Texas’ healthcare sector.
