DFWHC to host Executive Workshop at its offices on Feb. 21

The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) will host the in-person executive workshop “Building Strong External Relationships for Hospital Leaders” at its Irving headquarters on Friday, February 21. A registration/breakfast is set from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., CDT, followed by the seminar from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., CDT. Please note only a limited number of 18 seats will be available.

The workshop will be hosted by Rodney Schlosser, who leads workshops on this topic for corporations, non profits, and professional services firms. He’s been a senior Biz Dev exec for 20-plus years as SVP/Business Development at Asurion (a successful vendor in the communications industry), and teaches this topic at UT Austin. He’s also Vice Chair of DART. Stephen Love, President/CEO of DFWHC, will serve as co-host.

The target audience is hospital leaders including general administration, fundraising/foundation, community relations, government affairs and leaders who work with payors.

Objectives include:

    • Cultivating new relationships and fortifying existing relationships;
    • Using curiosity to understand stakeholders’ goals, needs and concerns – to facilitate confidence and comfort to business relationships;
    • Employing simple but effective techniques for fostering chemistry in communication and collaboration;
    • Uncovering new opportunities and win-win situations that accelerate trust;
    • Workshop structure will include a mix of group discussion, research findings and case studies.

Cost is only $250 (a $500 value) and the fee includes breakfast and lunch. Deadline to register is Tuesday, February 11.
