On the hottest day of the year – 105 and climbing – the DFW Hospital Council treated its staff to free ice cream this afternoon at its headquarters in Irving. The line was long, it was indeed hot, but the wait was worthwhile. After receiving their ice cream, staff members immediately sprinted back into the air-conditioned building.
