DESCRIPTION:The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) has decided to continue to host the weekly radio program “The Human Side of Healthcare” on KRLD 1080 AM throughout the New Year of 2022.\n\nThe program\, airing every Sunday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and 7:00-8:00 p.m. CDT\, showcases the activities of North Texas hospitals. The weekly broadcasts will run for 52 weeks throughout the year.\n\n“We had such positive feedback in 2021 that we thought we should continue to spread the word on the many projects of our North Texas hospitals\,” said Stephen Love\, president/CEO of DFWHC. “This radio program will continue to detail chronic illness\, social drivers of health and children’s healthcare.”\n\nSince the COVID-19 outbreak two years ago\, the program has devoted a weekly segment to provide updates on the hospitals’ efforts to battle the pandemic in the metroplex.\n\nKRLD 1080 AM serves the DFW Metroplex and North Texas with a news/talk radio format. It is a Class A station broadcasting at 50\,000 watts\, the maximum power allowed for American AM stations. It has a listening range covering a 30-county area of North Texas\, Central Texas and Oklahoma. It is also broadcast nationwide on Radio.com.\n\nOn a weekly basis\, Love (above photo\, left) works with Thomas Miller (above photo\, right)\, a broadcast journalist at KRLD\, to develop the programming.
