SUMMARY:"I Stand for Peace" Dallas Campaign
DESCRIPTION:The Art of Living Foundation in Dallas is pleased to announce the arrival of the “I Stand for Peace” public event with the global humanitarian leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Dallas.\n\n“I Stand for Peace” kicked off on April 20 in Geneva\, Switzerland and is touring more than 15 cities in Europe and North America\, including Berlin\, Warsaw\, Philadelphia\, New York\, Los Angeles and Dallas. The Dallas “I Stand for Peace” event is set for Thursday\, May 19 from 7-9 pm at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. The event is free but you will need to RSVP at https://srisriindallas.com/.\n\nThe “I Stand for Peace” campaign endeavors to strengthen and channel individuals’ commitment to peace during these turbulent times. The worldwide sense of helplessness and hopelessness caused by the pandemic\, war and inflation has weighed heavily on the human psyche. According to the World Health Organization\, the biggest challenge of the pandemic has been mental health.\n\n“If each person makes an intention to stand up for peace and attends to their mental health\, we can make world peace a reality. As global peace is not possible without individual peace\,” said Gurudev. “When one percent of the population meditates\, it elevates the collective consciousness. Similarly\, if enough people say\, ‘I stand up for peace\,’ then we project that energy\, that vision and it will happen!”\n\nOrganized by the Dallas chapter of the nonprofit Art of Living Foundation\, the “I Stand for Peace” event will be a special evening of guided meditation\, music and wisdom led by Gurudev. The event will also include an interactive session where audience members will have the opportunity to pose questions directly to Gurudev.\n\nOver the past 40 years\, Gurudev has been a pioneering teacher of meditation and revered for his development of the clinically-proven Sudarshan Kriya Yoga (SKY) Breath Meditation\, a comprehensive series of breathing exercises that has benefitted an estimated 400 million people—from students to war veterans—across more than 150 countries.\n\nGurudev’s approach blends ancient Vedic wisdom with modern sensibility for a new paradigm of leadership and living – a stress-free\, violence-free society. Through Gurudev’s programs\, millions of people worldwide have found peace and resilience in the face of adversity\, learning not only how to excel in their own lives\, but also how to become powerful agents for social change.\n\nThe Art of Living Foundation aims to create a stress-free and violence-free society through fostering individual well-being and societal development. Founded in 1981 and present in 156 countries\, its programs have touched over 400 million lives.\n\nFor information\, please contact Jyotsana Sharma at jyotsana.sharma@artofliving.org.
