SUMMARY:DFWHC and Warrior Centric Health "Veterans Health Equity" Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and Warrior Centric Health will co-host the webinar “Elephant in the Waiting Room: The BIG Quality & Safety Issue You’re Overlooking” on Thursday\, February 20 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.\, CDT.\n\nSpeakers will include Evelyn Lewis\, MD\, MA\, FAAFP\, DABDA\, Co-Founder and CMO of Warrior Centric Health; Ron Steptoe\, CMR\, DABDA\, Co-Founder and CEO of Warrior Centric Health; and Stephen Love\, President/CEO of DFWHC.\n\nAmerica’s military veterans\, national guard\, reservists and their families comprise one of the nation’s largest and most at-risk populations. Because of their experiences\, this Warrior Community emerges from service with gaping physical and mental health disparities. While you might assume they get their healthcare through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)\, most do not. They are in commercial health facilities\, few of which screen for military service. Fewer still are prepared to treat their “invisible wounds.” The result: health disparities\, sub-optimal care\, high readmission rates and sometimes tragic consequences. In this webinar\, we will discuss how commercial healthcare systems can meet this healthcare challenge by re-imagining it as an opportunity.\n\nYou can register here.\n\nFor information\, please contact Chris Wilson at chrisw@dfwhc.org.

SUMMARY:DFWHC and Moss Adams webinar "Denials Management"
DESCRIPTION:The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and Moss Adams will co-host the webinar “Denials Management: An Integrated People-First Approach” on Thursday\, September 5 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.\, CT.\n\nSpeakers will include Richard Riter\, a director at Moss Adams; Erin Ressler\, a director at Moss Adams; and Stephen Love\, President/CEO of DFWHC.\n\nPayer denials are a huge problem for providers—and it’s getting worse! They not only threaten providers’ financial health\, but they can also negatively impact patients’ experience. Many technology solutions are on the market\, but implementing these without understanding your processes—and without involving frontline people—can lock providers into ineffective processes. Join us for this webcast as we present an approach to denials reduction and management\, based on a lean approach to general revenue cycle improvement with a proven record of success over the last decade.\n\nYou can register here.\n\nFor information\, please contact Chris Wilson at chrisw@dfwhc.org.
