SUMMARY:DFWHC and UTA webinar "Improving Provider Practice Outcomes"
DESCRIPTION:The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and UT Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation complimentary webinar “Improving Provider Practice Outcomes: The Case for Community-based Data Analysis for Actionable Results” is set for Thursday\, September 29 from 1:00-2:00 p.m.\, CST. There will be 1.0 HIMSS CEU available.\n\nSpeakers will include Dr. Charles Johnson\, Director of Academic Advising at UT Arlington; Dr. Mari Tietze\, Myrna Pickard Endowed Professor at UT Arlington; and Stephen Love\, President/CEO of DFWHC.\n\nHealthcare providers are becoming more aware of the impact that community characteristics have on the patient’s health. Some call it “the social determinants of health” or “health inequity.” Regardless\, the trend is for these community characteristics to be considered when managing a patient’s health-based condition. Data is becoming increasingly available to support this effort and it can impact provider outcomes. This presentation is aimed at demonstrating one way this can be accomplished.\n\nYou can register here.\n\nFor information\, please contact Chris Wilson at chrisw@dfwhc.org.\n\nThis program is approved for up to 1 (one) continuing education (CE) hour for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)SM and the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS)SM.

SUMMARY:DFWHC Foundation’s 6th Annual IQSC Data Summit
DESCRIPTION:Hey\, we have a secret to tell you – data is power! With that in mind\, the DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation will be hosting its 6th Annual Information and Quality Services Center’s (IQSC) Data Summit on January 25-26 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon both days. This year’s event is themed\, “The Powerful World of Data.”\n\nThe virtual event will be highlighted by Dr. James Zimring\, author of “Partial Truths\,” who will serve as keynote speaker.
