SUMMARY:DFWHC and Unity Medical webinar "Bacterial or Non-Bacterial Infection?"
DESCRIPTION:The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and Unity Medical Alliance LLC will co-host the complimentary webinar “Bacterial or Non-Bacterial Infection? Know After 10 Minutes!” on Wednesday\, August 26 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.\, CDT.\n\nSpeakers will include Terence Green\, President/CEO of Unity Medical Alliance LLC; Ken Blakeman\, Chief Operating Officer of RCS HealthCare; Kristel Foster\, National Sales Manager at Lumos Diagnostic; Tommy Hall\, Director of U.S. Sales at Lumos Diagnostic; and Stephen Love\, President/CEO of DFWHC.\n\nAcute respiratory infections are the most common reason for seeking medical advice and antibiotic prescriptions. Differentiating between bacterial infection and non-bacterial etiology can be challenging. The majority of respiratory infections are caused by viruses and do not require antibiotics\, yet antibiotics are prescribed in up to 50% of cases.\n\nAntibiotic resistance continues to remain a major global health threat contributing to 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant illnesses and 35\,000 deaths each year in the U.S. Join us as this panel of national experts details a new tool that promotes patient safety.\n\nYou can register here.\n\nFor information\, please contact Chris Wilson at chrisw@dfwhc.org.
