DESCRIPTION:Stephen Love (left) and Thomas Miller \n\nYou don’t want to miss the final episode of the DFW Hospital Council’s (DFWHC) radio and podcast program “The Human Side of Healthcare” on KRLD 1080 AM on Sunday\, March 26.\n\nThe program will air at 1:00-2:00 p.m. and 7:00-8:00 p.m. CDT\, and showcase a few memories plus activities of North Texas hospitals. The weekly broadcasts have run continuously since January 2020.\n\n“We believed the program had run its course and served as a great sounding board during the COVID-19 pandemic to create awareness in North Texas\,” said Stephen Love\, president/CEO of DFWHC. “On behalf of the DFWHC Board of Trustees\, we would like to thank the Audacy radio network and the team at KRLD including Paul Davis. We would especially like to thank Thomas Miller who not only hosted every program with me\, but did an outstanding job editing and producing the show.”\n\nKRLD 1080 AM serves the DFW Metroplex and North Texas with a news/talk radio format. It is a Class A station broadcasting at 50\,000 watts\, the maximum power allowed for American AM stations. It has a listening range covering a 30-county area of North Texas\, Central Texas and Oklahoma. SUMMARY:DFWHC Foundation's "Mental Health Recovery Workshop"
DESCRIPTION:Are you concerned for loved ones or your community and have a passion to help others? If so\, learn how to become part of the solution! The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation’s Community Health Collaborative (CHC) will be hosting a new “Recovery Workshop: ROCC Stars Unite” on March 26 at the T. Boone Pickens YMCA in Dallas from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.\, CT. This will be a complimentary in-person event.\n\nWorking with UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW)\, the Association of Persons Affected by Addiction (APAA) and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)\, the program creates awareness about mental health and addiction recovery.\n\nIn this workshop\, peer support specialists will teach you concepts through an engaging presentation and discussion. This workshop is intended for the entire community. The Community Mental Health Grant Program was established by House Bill 13\, 85th Legislature\, Regular Session\, 2017 and authored by Representative Four Price. The 86th Legislature appropriated $45 million in 2019 to continue the Community Mental Health Grant Program in 2020 and 2021.
