DESCRIPTION:The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation announced today it would postpone the 2021 Employee of the Year Luncheon to next year and replace the event with its virtual “North Texas COVID-19 Heroes” campaign. Last year\, the DFWHC Foundation asked hospitals to submit individuals and teams at all levels of their organization who displayed uncommon dedication during the pandemic.\n\n“We were stunned by the incredible response\,” said Jen Miff\, president of the DFWHC Foundation. “We received more than 300 submissions from all corners of North Texas. It’s been a long year\, especially for our dedicated hospital employees. We believe it will be appropriate in 2021 to specifically honor each of these courageous healthcare heroes.”\n\nEach submission will be honored virtually in an official booklet and video to debut online September 1\, 2021. In addition\, each North Texas COVID-19 Hero will receive a memorial medallion commemorating their dedication during one of the most trying healthcare years in over a century.\n\nIf you would like to support these heroes\, sponsorships are available. They will include ads on the opening pages of the booklet and within the introduction of the video program. The DFWHC Foundation will also detail sponsors in a press release\, magazine article and a page on its website. This is a great opportunity to honor the spirit and sacrifice of these “North Texas COVID-19 Heroes.”\n\nThe Sponsorship Form can be found here.
