Love hosts panel at North Dallas Chamber’s Health Care Conference

DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) President/CEO Stephen Love moderated a panel this morning during the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Health Care Conference in the main auditorium at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. The event was sold out with 200-plus in attendance.

Love’s panel was titled “The Impact of Health Care on the Local Economy” and included guest speakers Marianne Fazen, CEO of the Dallas Fort Worth Business Group on Health; Michael Horne, president/CEO of the Parkland Foundation; and Dr. John Siburt, president of City Square.

Rob Kaplan, president/CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, served as keynote speaker discussing “Key Structural Economic Drivers and their Implications on Health Care.”

An additional panel moderated by Paul Hain of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas included Texas State Senators Kelly Hancock and Nathan Johnson detailing “The ‘State’ of Texas Health Care Spending.”
