IRVING, TX – The following Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) press statement was issued today by DFWHC President and Chief Executive Officer W. Stephen Love:
“The Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) offers its thoughts and prayers for the well-being of the patient diagnosed with the Ebola virus admitted to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, one of our member facilities. Its team of health care professionals is a proud representation of some of the best personnel in North Texas.
All of DFWHC’s member hospitals work diligently every day with infectious disease treatment and management. Hospital staffs have stringent checklists for Ebola preparedness and are well informed about the necessities of isolating the disease. Residents can support our North Texas hospitals by remaining calm and listening to all health alerts related to this infectious disease.
DFWHC’s member hospitals have reviewed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention protocols regarding the Ebola virus and have been prepared. We are thankful for the successful diagnosis, rapid response and dedicated work.”
DFWHC is an 88 hospital and 95 associate member trade organization with more than 45 years of service to North Texas healthcare. Governed by a Board of Trustees made up of hospital executive officers, the hospital trade association is committed to the continuous improvement of patient care.
