Texas Health Informatics Alliance to host Annual Conference on Sept. 20

The Texas Health Informatics Alliance will be hosting its Fourth Annual Conference on Friday, September 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., CST. This year’s event is an in-person meeting to be held on the campus of UT Arlington (UTA) in the Bluebonnet Ballroom.

The Texas Health Informatics Alliance consists of UTA, UTHealth Houston, Texas State University, Texas Woman’s University and UT Southwestern Medical Center. The conference will bring together the health informatics community of Texas to include presentations, speakers and poster abstracts.

Speakers will include Nora Cox, chief executive officer of Texas e-Health Alliance; and David Jaffray, PhD, a professor of Imaging and Physics at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

The Texas Health Informatics Alliance (THIA) is a collective of individuals and groups throughout the state of Texas. THIA aims to build informatics ties across Texas through partnership in the following areas: Research, Data, Policy, Education and Workforce Development.
